This Friday we started painting and
exploring color theory principles with the 10 to 12 year old girls!
After going over the primary and secondary
colors, we learned about analogous colors and tested out blending. After trying
a combination of both warm and cool colors we moved onto our repeat pattern
design masterpieces!
Starting with a basic square, the girls
created their own tiles which they replicated and traced over their papers. They
then used their color knowledge to create awesome pieces!
We even had an abstract painter in the
bunch!
Here's one of our
artists with our volunteer Pin and a masterpiece they worked on together! It was really fun and the girls ended up
creating beautifully complex pieces! See you on Tuesday!
